Some guidelines advise 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week exercise routine. If you take this advice then it makes sense to invest into a fitness center membership. Then life happens and you barely go, feeling guilty and a failure, stuffing your face with ice cream. First advice, don't take every guideline as the ultimate truth. According to Mayo Clinic and multiple other government institutions, an average adult should get 150 min or 75 min per week of moderate or vigorous aerobic activity respectively. That is 20 min or 10 min per day. All of sudden that does not seem so unachievable. Next, do you need a gym to exercise? Walking or swimming are considered moderate aerobic activity while biking or running are considered vigorous. Check out YouTube for many physical activity instructional videos if you don't want to waste time on travel.
